Will the power of Samuel L. Jackson swearing ever diminish? No, because the power of swearing will never diminish, and Sam Jackson's powers are forever. Swearing is awesome, and so is he. Just as the effect of adding jelly to peanut butter or brownies to everything is never less than amazing, Sam Jackson swearing will forever bring joy to those who experience it. 


His voice is the precise aural manifestation of what every single person thinks they sound like in their head when they're swearing. His voice sounds like a crooning panther, or a 62 year old black man from Washington D.C. When he swears it is never in excess; like the wizard that he is, he does everything exactly as much as is absolutely necessary, which is always a whole lot. 


So, as we should have expected, Sam Jackson is now narrating a children's goodnight book. Oh, but it's not just any children's book! It's a book with swears in it, you know, for cool children. It expresses the frustration parents have with putting their kids to sleep, or wanting to put them to sleep, if you know what I'm saying here. Taking care of them. Yea, like that. And Sam Jackson deals with mothafuckin children like he deals with mothafuckin snakes. Like a bad ass.

You'd think he's outraged, maybe. Or confused about exactly how he should feel. That might be because he apparently read the script character direction of "disappointed" and shouted it as a real line. And the director kept it, because it is awesome. Here's how I imagine this shoot taking place. Kevin: What is my character's motivation? Director: Well, if you take a look at the script -- Kevin: Gotcha. Say no more. After... Director: Kevin, I don't mean to tell you how to do your job, because I'm only the director, but you just read a character direction as a line of dialogue... Kevin: I did...? Really? ....DISAPPOINTED! Director: You're right, I love it, don't get upset! We'll use it, you're great. Kevin: GRATITUDE
